1. Chapter
The Beginning.

One morning a tired messenger reached Miriel when she was dealing with some issues in Moonglade. The messenger handed her a letter and left her to read it in peace.
The letter was indeed addressed to Miriel and it was from Raene Wolfrunner who is stationed in Astranaar.

Dear Miriel Alantha Veldrin.
I here by summon you to Astranaar for a special meeting between you, I and the leader of Silverwing Outpost.
Only thing I can tell you that the meeting is about is that we need you to take upon your shoulders a special task which is needed in these trying times.

Please inform back to me when ever you have time to meet up with us to get further information, and to discus with us rather you feel that you can take this task or not.

Until I meet, take care.

Raene Wolfrunner.

In the mean time try think of some people you think could be good to bring in, to help you in this special force.

Miriel folded the letter nicely together and dazed of into the distance. Morning turned to day, day turned to evening, evening turned to night and night turned to morning again before Miriel decided to get some rest. She had been walking around the whole day in her own thoughts, trying to find out what she should do.
In the period where Miriel got the letter she had been stationed for a long time in Moonglade. She had been cut off from her loved ones and friends so she had no one to consult. Miriel wasn’t totally sure what Raene and Silverwing wanted her, but she was not ready to meet them yet.
Miriel travelled home to Nethergard Keep where her home was and had been for some time. But never had she felt less welcome when she came back there, amongst people she should trust, but couldn’t because they didn’t really seem to like each other. And after some time she decided that it was time to stop hiding, and so she travelled to Astranaar to meet her fate.

Miriel showed up in Astranaar a sunny afternoon. She walked into the inn where Raene greeted her warmly. While showing Miriel where she could put her things she yelled for a messenger to go to Silverwing Outpost and tell Su’ura Swiftarrow to join them as soon as she could.
They waited until the evening before Su’ura showed up. She apologised for being so late, and told that she had had some difficulties with some Horde attacking them.
They gathered around a campfire just outside of Astranaar, protected by Silverwing’s who scouted around for Hordes who dared to disturb them.
In hours they briefed Miriel in what they wanted her to do, discussing how they wanted Miriel’s special force to be and what their tasks would be. Tasks the Silverwing’s couldn’t do themselves.
Late that night Miriel said yes to take the tasks on her shoulders. Furthermore they agreed on clarifications concerning the special force that Miriel was to gather.
Miriel stretched and let out a soft yawn as the hours became late. She hoped soon to get some sleep, but it seemed Su’ura had yet another card up her sleeve.

“Miriel you will not only be taking orders from High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind” Su’ura looks at Miriel with an even more serious face than she had through out the whole briefing. Miriel moved unsure in the chair where she was sitting. Looking up at Su’ura and took the scroll that the General was handing to her. As Su’ura was talking Miriel quickly rushed through the letter. The letter was an order, to General Su’ura Swiftarrow and The Darnassus Sentinels Leader Elanaria, to finding a fitting leader for a special force. A special force just as Miriel had just been briefed about. Miriel shortly looks up at Su’ura with pondering eyes. Meeting eyes with Su’ura who motions Miriel to keep reading.
Miriels rushed over the rest of the letter to then letting her eyes rest at the bottom of the page. The letter was sealed and signed by every leader of the Alliance; Prophet Velen, High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind, King Magni Bronzebeard, High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque, and Highlord Bolvar Fordragon. Miriel looks up at Tyrandes with shocked eyes.

“What is this about?” Su’ura smiled softly and exchanged a look with Raene shortly.
“That my friend is your contract. You won’t become a Commander within the Sentinels nor the Silverings. You will become Commander of The Alliance” Miriel kept glancing at Su’ura, looking down through the papers again.
The talk went on for a bit until Miriel finally turned to the last page of the letter. Grabbed a feather pen and signed her name at the bottom, handed the scroll back to Su’ura with a determent look in her eyes.

“Very well Miriel, I will take these to the rightfull place. From now on I will be giving you orders. Orders which is given from the Council of the Leaders of The Alliance” Su’ura saluted Miriel and handed over a green tabard. They bit each other farewell and wished each other a safe future.

Miriel now rose as Commander of Silverwing Outrunners, and from that day on she was under the command of The Leaders of The Alliance.

2. Chapter.
The First Year.(Based on happenings in the game)

In the morning Miriel mailed some of the people she knew that she could trust, explaining them what she had been asked to do, and if they wanted to they would be welcome to follow her and become Silverwings. Miriel’s old friends, Aciha and her husband Suo, were the first ones to come to Astranaar. They were both very interested and as the evening grew dark they had come to the agreement that Suo was going to be Lieutenant and Aciha Advisor. At the late hours of the night further more three old friends of Miriel, Drypher, Phenomena, and Rholf, joined them in Astranaar. Rholf had been under Miriels leadership before, and he immediately accepted Miriel’s offer to become Advisor along side with Aciha.

These was the first people to carry the name Silverwing Outrunners, however not many days after their first meeting in Astranaar did more old friends join them. And quicker than they had expected themselves did they become a quit strong force, giving the Horde who was terrorizing Kalimdor a fight for their money. Not long after Silverwings rose, the Horde start walking more carefully in the forest of Ashenvale, mostly keeping to their own territories, only moving into Alliance territory when they needed to, or those who just hungered for blood on their blades.

Many months went, and Silverwings Outrunners quickly made themselves a name amongst not only the Horde but also Alliance travelling through Kalimdor.
More people joined their ranks, and joined in on defending the beautiful areas of Kalimdor until the day came where Silverwing Outrunners was asked to help the Alliance maintain the hold of Karazhan.
Karazhan is an abandoned citadel, located on a nexus of ley lines in southern Deadwind Pass. The tower is best known for its last known occupant Medivh, the last Guardian of Tirisfal. After Medivh was killed by the army of Stormwind, the tower sealed itself off from the rest of the world. But Karazhan had reawaken an evil presence had taken the tower as its own, its halls crawling with spirits and demons. Medivh's presence was still alive and well, even decades after his death.

This way Silverwings was forced to leave the Elven land unguarded every now and then, however the Horde should never feel themselves too sure that a Silverwing wouldn’t jump out of the bush and push them out of the Alliance territory almost as soon as the Horde had taken one step too many.

While the Silverwings was distracted by Karazhan, the Horde managed to convince one of the elven kinds to betray her faction. She gained guard status in Astranaar and soon she delivered information to the Horde. However the Silverwings quickly picked up on something being very wrong, at first they searched the forest high and low to find any Horde spies sneaking around the town. But they never found any, nor did they find any tunnels that might lead into the city. The Silverwings concluded that the one leaking information was of an Alliance race. This left them with very little trust in the guards and people living in Astranaar. Even the people within Silverwings were questioned. None with in the Silverwings was found guilty, and soon the Silverwings started working on finding the betrayer between the guards and citizens in Astranaar.
When one or more of the Silverwings had experienced assaults from an unknown enemy Miriel decided that it was time for them to leave Astranaar behind and find somewhere safer till the spy was banished from elven lands.

Miriel gathered the Silverwings and they started their long travel. Miriel’s new base for them was to be Feathermoon, a place where the Horde had harder time getting to, a lonely isle just out from Feralas’ coast. This would also put them in a tactical different position compared to the Horde, instead of being able to attack them from Astranaar, they could now move in through Thousand Needles.
The long travel there went mostly without any problems, and because they left Suo back in Astranaar as distraction it mostly looked like they were just on a patrol rather than moving their base.

But somewhere between Desolace and Feathmoon was Drakonis lost. No one could tell Miriel where they had seen him last, and even though they sent patrols out to find him everyone came back empty handed. Things like this didn’t usually happen, and Miriel wasn’t willing to give up.
The next couple of days the Silverwing searched high and low for Drakonis, and at last they found him on the beach of Feralas’ coast. Drakonis couldn’t remember how he had ended up there, or how long he had been unconscious, but luckily not more had happened to him. Silverwings praised his luck and celebrated that their friend was with them again.

The Silverwings work both in Kalimdor but also in Karazhan started to rumour around the entire Azeroth, and when Silverwings on rare occasions showed themselves in Stormwind people nodded at them in recognition.
Soon the grand Commander Del’Mir of The Crimson Eagle took contact to Miriel, sharing the same vision as her in joining in as allied in the fight against the Horde. With The Crimson Eagle followed Stormwind Militia, the noble people also became a close allied of Silverwing Outrunners. These new bounds caused The Silverwings to spend more and more time on Eastern Kingdoms, a joy for some, and a pain for others. However most of the Silverwings followed Miriels lead, and with these new bonds came more resistant against the Horde, and more areas to patrol.

During these good times did yet another allied join what was now called The United Alliance. The people was more down to earth and mostly knows and pirates, however having people experienced with war at the sea would benefit The United Alliance well, and Nec was a very respected Admiral. Salty Tide Privateers aided The United Alliance in many battles.

In the winter, a silent November morning is a respected member of Silverwing Outrunners killed. Many knew him as Firez, but his real name was Derias. The mystery of how he actually died was never solved, a mystery which to this day still hasn’t been solved.
The loose of an old friend hit the Silverwing Outrunners hard; they held a memorial for him in Ashenvale, where some of their allied joined them to honour his memory.
Miriel had been close with Firez, so close that Firez had revealed some of his secrets to her. Miriel never really believed that they were true, how could anyone be half demon? However before he died he had given Miriel a necklace, a necklace which had been special to him. And on day where Miriel had been minding her own bussines in Feralas Firez ghost had attacked her. The memory of what happened is to this day still something she would rather not talk about. And after spending a couple of days stuck in the Emerald Dream, a trance she has taught herself to use as defend mechanism, she was awoken.

The Silverwings was happy to have their Commander back, though she did seem slightly strange. When they would finally let her be by herself, she flew from Moonglade to Astranaar. She had dreamt that the necklace Firez had given her would bring him back to life. Without really knowing what she had to do she followed her instincts and without being sure what exactly she did, she revived Firez from the dead.
Miriel was happy to see her old friend again; however he was less happy to see her, apparently blaming her for his death.

Not long after Firez is revived decides Miriel to move the Silverwings to Stormwind. Something that most of the Silverwings are happy with, however some decides that they will stay in Kalimdor permanently making sure the borders were safe. Firez was one of them however ever since he had been revived he hadn’t been very social, nor very happy to see anyone.
Their allies welcome them with open arms, and sadly so does the enemies of The United Alliance. Not more than a week after they had moved their base to Stormwind City is both Commander Del’Mir and Miriel kidnapped and tortured by people supporting the Burning Legion, however the two forces, The Silverwing Outrunners and The Crimson Eagle, works together in finding their Commanders, and at the end they find them on the Alcaz Island, deep under ground held behind bars in the same place as the King of Stormwind was once held.

Both Commanders are brought back to Stormwind and their wounds were tend to. Both were very chocked by what happened, telling strange stories about how these people suddenly showed up in The Recluse, and even though they thought back they were to many to fight them off, Miriel remembered Stormwind Guards trying to fight these beasts off, but they could stop them from taking Maleth and Miriel and teleport out if the city with them.
Miriel knew that she was only taken alive because Maleth had protected her, she knew that they only came to get revenge on Maleth. Something that she to this day still doesn’t really understand what was about.

Both Commanders recover from the happenings on Alcaz Island, but the newly formed, plague infected, Alliance people calling themselves The Scourge wasn’t going to give The United Alliance much piece. A specific member of The Crimson Eagle had been sent on an important mission, he had to fool The Scourge leader Xariandra that he was betraying his own people and serving her now. Merke Felbane was after that called lawless by the people who knew nothing of what was going on, however little did they know. Merke was working for The United Alliance, in order to get information about their next attack, and which people they were planning to aim for.
Lauron, a reckless mage from The Silverwings ranks thought he could deal with this matter himself, he thought he could befriend one from The Scourge and that way get more information for The United Alliance, little did he know before he was suddenly kidnapped and dragged into the lair of The Scourge.
Miriel found out through Merke that they had taken Lauron in, and together with The Crimson Eagle did she plan a rescuing plan.

Xariandre had other plans, she was greedy and she thought that The United Alliance was willing to negotiate to get Lauron back. She sent them a hand in the mail, claiming that I was once attached to Lauron. She told Maleth to meet her alone near Tarren Mile in Hillsbrad Foothills, a term that Maleth obviously not was going to stick with. And without Xariandra knowing they planned how Maleth was going to walk up to Xariandra with one rogue on each side of him, standing close to defend Maleth. And the rest of The Crimson Eagle should follow Miriel’s lead, sneaking as close as possible they could without being noticed, and when the sign was given they should all drink invisible potions and run into surround Xariandra and her men.
A strategy that obviously resulted in a battle, but when Stormwind Militia came to aid their allies The Scourge pulled back and fled from the now superior force. During the confusion of the fight did Merke managed to grab Lauron from the hands of Xariandra, drag him to where Maleth and Miriel was and together they jumped through a portal, knowing that their forces would fight back The Scourge with no problems.

Over the next couple of months The Silverwing Outrunners and The United Alliance was very busy fighting both The Scourge, but also the growing threat form a new Horde force, calling themselves House of Sylvanas. A force filled with undead people and people as far as Miriel had understood, people who was supporting the great work of the Lich King, but found the force calling themselves The Scourge a ridiculous copy cat.
While the House of Sylvanas grew bigger, Miriel decided that Stormwind had become too crowded and unsafe for the Silverwings to use as their main base; they needed somewhere to go, and somewhere which also brought them close to Undercity.
She took a little band of The Silverwings with her and discussed the terms with the dwarfs of Aerie Peak. The dwarfs welcomed them with open arms, and offered them to use Wildhammer Keep as their resting place and meeting spot. Miriel thanked the dwarfs very much with their generous offer and returned to Stormwind with the good news. In a matter of days had the Silverwings moved their things to Wildhammer Keep.

Around the summer time, Silverwings join several assaults on the Main City of the Horde. A thing they only did because they Horde had become too bold. Several attacks on Alliance main Cities and smaller towns had not gone unnoticed amongst The United Alliance’s forces. And together they did several retaliation attacks, but also bigger attacks on tactical good areas, tying to get Alliance control on these, in order to weaken the Horde.
Around this time, in the middle of the heat of the summer, and the heat of the battle Silverwings celebrated their year long team work. An event that didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of the Alliance, people congratulated them, letting them know that they wanted them to keep up their work with keeping the Alliance borders safe, along with the main Cities.

3. Chapter.
The Second Year. (Based on happenings in the game).

The fight against The Scourge becomes even more intense at this point, but while they spend much time on tying to fight Xariandra and his horde of undead, the leaders of the Alliance has yet another task to ask of the Silverwings.

Gruul's Lair; located north of Ruuan Weald in the Blade's Edge Mountains of Outland. Here, Gruul the Dragon killer, the merciless gronn overlord, rules over the ogres of Blade's Edge.
Gruul the Dragon killer is the gronn overlord of the ogres of Outland, ruling with an iron fist. He earned his "nom de guerre after slaughtering many members of the black dragon flight who had come to Outland in order to aid the Horde of Draenor.

And Magtheridon's Lair; here Silverwing Outrunners shall fight the brutish pit lord Magtheridon himself. Magtheridon, the former Lord of Outland, is a pit lord who conquered the ruins of the orcish home world following its destruction. His reign was ended by the arrival of Illidan Stormrage, who took Magtheridon's throne at the Black Temple for himself. Deciding that Magtheridon would have a further part to play, Illidan had Magtheridon's body dragged to the Hellfire Citadel where he imprisoned the pit lord, leaving him at the mercy of the fel orcs.
These two merciless places was where the Silverwings had been asked to go and maintain the order that the first wave of the Alliance forces had gain power in Outland.

The Silverwings fought hard and long against the Burning Legion, along with the fights at home against The Scourge. While the days went past, Miriel noticed that fewer and fewer of The Crimson Eagle showed themselves in the cities, even their Commander, Maleth Del’Mir, seemed wiped from Azeroth. The Silverwings offered home to the remaining Eagles and most of them accepted, however many of the retired and seemed to disappear the same way their Commander had.
The loose of a great allied hit both The Silverwings, but also The Stormwind Militia hard, The two of them still kept together in a strong bond, but a bond that got tested time after time after time.

One night Miriel starts getting these really odd and strange dreams, she doesn’t talk much with people about it, however it doesn’t go unnoticed past her Officers. When Miriel really start acting weird Suo decides to confront her with her behaviour. Miriel pushes it aside as nothing, but Suo and the Officers won’t give up. Something is defiantly going on with Miriel they keep a close eye to her after that.
Miriel starts hearing a voice in her head, he is talking in a strange language but the voice is so soothing. For several weeks she fights back against what ever is trying to enter her mind, but at the end she becomes too weak. She doesn’t sleep nor really eat much and at last she is driven towards Blackrock Mountian. She no longer has any control over what she is doing or where she is going, and she is being lured deeper and deeper into the mountain. And at the end of the labyrinth of dark tunnels Nefarian is waiting in his lair.
Miriel is now captured deep inside of Blackwing Lair; held in a magical sleep where Nefarian is trying to gain access to the Emerald Dream, gain access to everyone’s dreams.

Suo starts receiving weird letters, letters telling that they should give up any hopes of seeing their Commander again. Suo involves Gondil and Lariena in what’s going on, and together they are trying to find out who is sending the letters, and where Miriel is kept.
After a couple of days of not finding anything they finally get a small lead. They capture the person sending the letters, but quickly realise that this is nothing else than a mindless tool. Suo gets frustrated but Lariena manages to calm him down so he doesn’t hurt the poor victim.
As days goes by Lariena starts getting weird dreams aswell, dreams where she see pictures of Miriel laying on a cold stone floor, and for some reason a picture of a huge black dragon keeps popping up in her dreams. She explains the dream several times to Suo and the other Silverwings, and at the end they conclude that something odd must be going on in the old Blackrock Mountian. They decide to do the needed preparations and assault the mountain as soon as Stormwind Militia has announced if they are going to join them or not.

The Silverwing Outrunners and their allies Stormwind Militia march into the Blackrock Mountian, killing anyone standing in their path on their way to Blackwing Lair. Their hopes are to find Miriel there and safe her from Nefarians claws.
In the middle of a huge room with a orb in each end is Miriel laying, they walk to her, standing ready for an attack at any point they know that they are in Blackwings Lair now. Miriel doesn’t respond at the start they conclude that those orbs must be keeping her in the magical sleep. Before they can do anything about it, Nefarian sends in his minions to kill them, they fight for several minutes before one gets to the orb he quickly touches it and then realises that he can control one of the bigger dragonkinds with it. As soon as the orb is touched, Miriel wakes up in the middle of the fight. She is weak and very confused with where she is, the Silverwings who had been watching over her during the fight helps her up and fights their way through the horde of dragon and dragonkinds.
They defeat the first challenge, but Miriel still seem like she is under the effect of Nefarians magic. They decide to press on fighting their way deeper and deeper into the lair, hoping to catch Nefarian and end his spirit forever. But Nefarians strength is too strong; if they keep on going they will loose too many men. Diante says that she might know another way to free Miriel completely from Nefarians claws, and with those words Silverwing Outrunners and Stormwind Militia pulls out of the Blackrock Mountian.

The dark clouds starts rising from the north, and several Scourge necropolises is spotted moving over the outer regions of Azeroth. Silverwings sends out small patrols to scout the areas, not to encounter the enemy just yet, but to find out what these necropolises are doing. Miriel gets several reports about scourge creatures and spirits infesting the ground just under the necropolises. Some Silverwings encounters these creatures, in most cases successfully, but some ends up getting severely hurt one is Miriels cousin Arounah.
Necropolis is not the only trick that the Lich King is using in his battle towards the Alliance and the Horde. Ships with plagued infected craters arrival to all the harbours in Azeroth infecting the curious people who go too close to the craters together with The Militia, and The Argent Dawn, The Silverwings tries to convince people to stay away from infected areas. And if people do go there, the United Alliance stand ready to research if they have been infected or not. With so many areas and so many people ignoring The United Alliance warnings the plague is quickly spread. And soon the plague starts getting its grip in people, turning them into brain hungering zombies.
The stronger the plague become, the quicker people turn into Zombies, The Argent Dawn stations several holy people with the skill of curing the plague around the major cities, but during this dark period The Silverwings experience their own friends turning into Zombies around them. They experience how they have to kill people they used to know, because when the plague had turned you there was no way back.

Day and night The United Alliance patrolled the entire Azeroth, and day and night they had to face fighting Zombies and Ghouls whom might once have been people they used to know.
The King of Stormwind Returned from his long absent, and soon he gathered the entire Alliance force under him, fighting back this plague almost as quickly as it had entered.
He soon told everyone that the battle against the Lich King had started and that he encouraged everyone to travel to Northrend and help taking down the Lich King and his minions.
Miriel receive orders to take the strongest of her people and travel to Northrend, and with a heavy heart she told the news to The Silverwings. Some took it better than others, most knew the importance of fighting the Lich Kings minions. Even though Arounah was still suffering from her encounter with the Scourge she took on her to be the Commander of the people who was to stay back and make sure that the Alliance borders was still safe while The Silverwings fought against the Lich King in Northrend.
They made their goodbyes with the people who stayed back, and turned their faces towards new challenges.

Their first mission on Northrend was to aid the Alliance forces assaulting the Scourge necropolis Naxxramas. And when they had done their preparations they moved their base from The Howling Fjord to Dragonblight, Wintergard Keep was attacked by geists and undeads dropping down over and over from Naxxramas who hang like a threatening dark cloud over Wintergard Keep.
Since the Silverwings quickly got sent in different direction on Northrend to help out, Gondil stayed back at Wintergard Keep, helping the Alliance forces there stand their guard against the countless attacks coming from the horde of undead now swarming the grounds in front of Wintergard.
For many months The Silverwings fought countless battle against the horrors of Naxxramas, continuously trying to keep the necropolis under Alliance control.
But soon a new mission comes their way, the Alliance forces had for months tried to break their way through the gates of Ulduar, and they expected soon to succeed. Miriel and her Silverwings was asked to stand ready to go in and help uncover the secrets of Ulduar as soon as the gate had been brought down. The Silverwings stormed Ulduar and fought their way through this new challenge.

All while they had been fighting on Northrend did Miriel continue to get reports from Arouanh about Death Knights walking freely around Stormwind. Also Commander Malbridge had taken contact to Miriel, Silverwings aid was needed back home. A new threat had entered Eastern Kingdoms, Miriel rushes back with some of the Silverwings to aid The Militia in catching a dangerous magician and former Death Knight, Skalatharax.
Miriel soon felt what the months of separation had done to the bond between The Silverwings and Stormwind Militia, it wasn’t as healthy as before and it worried her. While aiding them many of the Silverwings felt ill treated and soon they started asking permission to go back and help on Northrend, a wish that she granted them with a heavy heart.

Slowly but surely Miriel and The Silverwings started getting more and more agitated with the situation. They felt forgotten, and they felt that no one really noticed how much work they put into everything that they did.
As soon as Miriel was more or less sure that Skalatharax wouldn’t bother The Militia anytime soon, she took the remaining Silverwings and moved them to Darnassus, here they felt more at home, and here their deeds hasn’t been forgotten.
The last thing Miriel deals with before giving up on the alliance with Stormwind Militia is when someone attempts to assault Councillor Kasperio and Pilus in the open street of Stormwind. Here she and Gondil fights against the people assaulting Kasperio, but at the end they are pushed away by other protectors and forgotten, wounded and betrayed by their own.

4. Chapter.
The Break Down. (based on some happenings, but not all happened in the game).

A couple of months, perhaps weeks before the Silverwings moved back to Kalimdor, Miriels cousin Arounah suddenly disappeared. She had a habit of doing that, and Miriel knew that she could take care of herself, however not hearing from her always made Miriel very nervous.
There was no tracks of here she could have gone to, but the Silverwings never gave up hope that one day Arounah would come back.
Gondil, who was in a close relationship with Arounah was the one putting most energy into finding Arounah, but he was close to the edge of giving up all hope and just believe that she would return when time was.

The sun was high on the sky the day Gondil got a letter from the Stormwind Militia. They had found an elf wearing the Silverwing tabard, however the elf had no idea who she was nor really where she was. Gondil quickly travelled to Stormwind City and met the Militia at The Garrison, they let him into their resting quarters and there on a bed was Arounah sitting.
Gondil took over from the Militias, thanked them many times and then convinced Arounah that she would be safe around him.
At the start the whole situation is very difficult for Gondil, especially because not many of the other Silverwings has time to help him out. Miriel visits them every now and then, but even she has a hard time handling her cousin going through a memory loss.

Some parts of Arounah’s memory starts coming back, mostly they find out that it’s based on feelings and people that she used to spent a lot of time with. She still can’t remember Gondil and Miriel completely, but she knows that she cares about them.
Moving the entire Silverwings back to Darnassus also helps Arounah remembering, yet the effect of them moving should have been much bigger, and the disappointment both from Arounah herself, but also Gondil and Miriel pushes Arounah into a depression.
Everything started looking very dark for Arounah, and with the rest of The Silverwings slowly disappearing from the face of Azeroth, Miriel realised that perhaps it was about time to let go of the desperate hope that they could still make a difference.

The first one to be put to sleep was Arounah, a simple silent gathering was held as they said their goodbyes to the once so sparkly and furious warrior.
That night Miriel sat alone by Lake Elune’Ara, putting her cousin to sleep had started a lot of thoughts. She was pondering how many of the other Silverwings who wanted to just slip into the dream and be happy again? Miriel had seen how many of the elves in Silverwing Outrunners were slowly loosing their spark.
She knew how hard it would be to get other people than druids entering the dream, but she also knew that it was possible to do so. She knew that it had been done before, even with humans, they just all had to be put to sleep in Moonglade on purified ground.

Miriel shared her vision with the druids in Moonglade, some where not happy with it, while others nodded their head in respect for the decision Miriel had made.
However there was still a lot of work to do, firstly Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm had to approve, secondly they had to find out how many of The Silverwings who wished to follow this path, and thirdly they had to prepare for the amount of people who would need care while in the dream.
Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm wasn’t too happy about the path that Miriel had decided to take, but he approved. He told her that that was the least they could do to show their respect for the work that The Silverwings had done for them.

Very close to the ending of the second year of Silverwing Outrunners existence, everything was prepared and ready. A big amount of Silverwings had chosen the dream path, while a small amount including Miriel and Lariena had decided to stay awake.
The last day Miriel was in Moonglade, to take care of the last of Silverwings who had travelled there to be put to sleep, the grief of saying goodbye to so many of her trusted and loyal soldiers and friends caught up with her.

Miriel took a deep breath and looked down on her tired hands as she walks out of the dark cave. The moonlight fell soft on her tired face. A tear found it’s way down her cheek, but Miriel wiped it away quickly and looked up at the sky. She took a deep breath and turned towards Lariena.

- You must be tired now, Lariena nodded and ran her fingers through her hair. Lariena had been working as hard as Miriel, and Miriel now looked upon Lariena with a certain feeling of pride in her heart. Lariena still had much to learn in the path of restoration, but she certainly had the skill, and the spark to do greater.

Miriel looked away from Lariena, gazing over the quiet lake Elune’ara. What they had just been through hadn’t been the easiest job for either of them. Putting most of their friends and loved ones to sleep for a unknown time, knowing that they might not ever meet again.
Miriel covered her face with her palms, letting the tiredness and the sadness overrun her. She felt how the warmth of her tears streamed down her cheeks. Lariena placed a hand on Miriel’s should, though being choked over seeing her Commander so fragile.

- Will you be okay Commander? Miriel trembled as Lariena called her by her former title.
- My time as Commander is over for now dear. I leave the faith of Silverwing Outrunners in your hands. I will not go to sleep, but I cannot linger. Where I will go, where I will stay is undecided.

Miriel turned towards the choked Lariena and placed her hands on her shoulders.
- I will leave Emeral and Zarias behind to help you. Whom ever is still around and not sleeping is your responsebility. If they wish to go their own way so be it. Lariena nodded, she tried to look strong but a tear slipped down her cheek as she saluted Miriel one last time.

Miriel took a deep breath and embraced Lariena. She stepped back and called for her saber. Miriel mounted Storm and pulled her hood over her head.
- Don’t look for me. I will always be with you, and if I am ever needed Miriel paused if Im ever needed I will be there for you.
Miriel took one last glance on Lariena before setting off out to the unknown.

6. Chapter.
A New Era. (All fiction).

Miriel places the document on the table and leans forward, covering her face with the palms of her hands while letting out a deep sigh.
Arounah raises an eyebrow and looks at Miriel with worried eyes. She doesn’t know what the document which her cousin received this afternoon is about, but judging on the expression on Miriel’s face Arounah concludes that it cannot be good.

- Miri what is it about? Arounah moves to sit on the edge of her chair in order to pat Miriel’s hands to comfort her. Miriel shook her head and got up, moving towards the balcony overlooking Darnassus.
- You can read it Arounah. Arounah picked up the document and moved to stand next to Miriel while she read.

The first thing that caught Arounah’s eye was the amount of seals and names at the bottom of the document, Arounah read the names aloud; Prophet Velen, High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind, King Magni Bronzebeard, High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque, and King Varian Wrynn.
Miriel sighed again when she heard then names of her old “bosses”. Arounah shook her head in disbelief and read the entire document.

Commander Miriel Alantha Veldrin, of Echoes of Lordaeron.

I here by summon you to Astranaar for a special meeting between you, I and representatives from each faction in the Alliance.
It would make us very grateful if you would meet with a representative from each faction of the Alliance to discuss your services.

We perfectly know that you are serving under Miss Liesje as one of her Commanders however we are in need of the Silverwing Outrunners once more.

We hope to see you in four days, sent back a respond to this letter and we shall make sure to let you know when and where to show.

Raene Wolfrunner.

Arounah gently ran her fingers over the seals from each faction of the Alliance. This was a big thing, bigger than the first time Miriel had received such a letter.
Miriel looked down and closed her eyes; she knew that this wouldn’t be an easy decision.

- I know what they will ask of me, and I also know that it is something I cannot do now. I turned my back to that life, and there are other people who rely on me now. Miriel took a deep breath and turned to face Arounah.
- I left the Silverwings in the hands of Lariena, perhaps it is time to pay her a visit and see if she feels ready to do what is asked of her.
- I will come with you Miri, just like in the old days. Miriel looked at Arounah with slight doubt painted on her face.
- I am ready; you know how hard I have trained besides Im getting crazy from staying here day in and day out. Miriel smiled softly at her cousin, a cousin who was more like a daughter to her than anything else.
- Right then, we don’t have much time so we better get going. Lariena and Diante went to live in Nagrand so we have some way to travel.

It was early in the morning when Miriel and Arounah arrived in Teelnar; the sun was already burning from a clear blue sky. Miriel loved Nagrand because of the beautiful landscape and the big open fields. She understood perfectly why Lariena had decided to follow Diante here.
Miriel was looking forward to seeing Lariena again, but she was worried how Diante would respond to their arrival, Diante and Miriel hadn’t parted as dear friends.
Miriel asked a near by guard if he knew where Lariena and Diante’s house was, he pointed over yonder. Miriel thanked him and motioned Arounah to follow her.

Arounah leaned against the cold house in an attempt to get away from the sun; Miriel took a deep breath and knocked the door, mumbling to her self that she hoped they would be home.
A movement near the door told them that at least one of them was home; Arounah went to stand next to Miriel as the door was being unlocked from the inside.

- Miriel!...... Arounah?! Lariena’s expression showed both, surprise and wonder at the same time she offered them to come in side and stepped aside to give them room. They thanked her and stepped into the cool house.
- What brings you all the way out here? Lariena still seemed very surprised while leading them to a table near the houses balcony. On the table was a big glass jug filled with some light purple liquid, a plate with some half eaten food, and a book lying open next to the plate.
- I will get you some glasses, was just eating my breakfast when you knocked on the door hehe, didn’t expect anyone to come this early. Miriel and Arounah sat down and waited for Larienas return.

- So tell me, why do I deserve such wonderful company this morning? Lariena smiled and purred some of the purple liquid in glasses and handed them to the two travellers.
- Well do I need an excuse to visit an old friend? Miriel smirked slightly and took a sip of the sweet liquid.
- I know you too well Miri, if you came to visit you would have warned me. You’re here for a reason. Lariena smiled slightly and closed her book.
- Your right, I am here because I have something urgent to discuss with you. Miriel gave the document to Lariena; she raised an eyebrow and started reading the letter.
- But you’re serving Echoes of Lordaeron now. Lariena looked at Miriel with slightly chocked eyes.
- They mean to ask you to leave them to Command us again? Lariena placed the document on the table.

- I will not command Silverwings again; remember I gave that title away? Miriel leaned back in her chair with no expression on her face Arounah turned her gaze to the fantastic view overlooking the green fields of Nagrand. Lariena sighed and looked down on her hands as she replied.
- You gave me a responsibility that I cannot carry Miriel. I am not, and will never be Commander-material. She kept looking at her hands, not daring to look at Miriel.
- Why the lack of self-confidence Lariena? Miriel leaned in to rest a hand on Lariena’s shoulder.
- I just don’t have it in me Miriel, I can advice and guide a leader, but I am not a leader myself. Lariena looked up at Miriel with almost begging eyes. Arounah cleared her throat but didn’t say a thing.

- With Suo and Gondil gone I don’t see any other possibilities Lariena. Miriel sighed and moved her hand away slowly.
- Im sorry Miriel, but I cannot do it. They both looked down and sat there in silence. Arounah got up from her chair and went to lean against the door frame to the balcony.
- I can do it. Arounah still had her back to Miriel and Lariena.
-You’ve gave me the responsibility when you went to Northrend remember cousin? Arounah turned around meeting Miriels eyes without straying.
- I remember, but do you think you’re strong enough? Lariena looked confused from Miriel to Arounah.
- If she has started remembering again, if the druids of Moonglade woke her up wouldn’t you say Miriel that she would be up for the challenge better than me? Lariena straighten her back to try and seem more convincing. She wasn’t just trying to push away the responsibility to someone else; she knew that Arounah had had it in her before, so why wouldn’t she have it now?
- Im not sure if it’s such a good idea, not that I don’t trust you Arounah. Miriel looked at Arounah with a motherly gaze.

- Im not your little Arounah anymore, even you must be able to see that now. Arounah tried to keep her voice calm, not wanting to seem like a little kid unhappy with not getting her way.
Miriel smiled softly and closed her eyes as she nodded.
- Lariena will you help Arounah with the responsibility? Will you stand by her side and advice her in what ever way you can? Miriel opened her eyes and looked straight at Lariena.
- Im not sure that I can Miriel, not really sure Diante would approve to it either. Lariena sighed and looked at her hands.
- I understand that Diante might get in the way, but I am sure that you will do fine as Lieutenant. Miriel was clearly trying to encourage Lariena with the tone of her voice.
- Okay then, I will speak with Diante, she can’t say no to me. I promise that I will do my best till Arounah wont need me anymore. Lariena met Miriel’s gaze without straying, showing her that she would stick by her promise.
- Then so be it. Miriel emptied her glass and got up, picked up the document and rest a hand on Lariena’s shoulder.
- See you in Darnassus in five days, ohh and tell Diante when she is home again that I said hi. Lariena nodded and followed them to the door.

And so the new era of The Silverwing Outrunners began. The leaders of the Alliance agreed to Arounah’s lead with Lariena’s guidance and with the connection to Miriel Arounah would have a strong lead.
Now came the time to rise from the ashes and show the entire Azeroth that Silverwing Outrunners are back, back to try and defend and help where they are needed.
